Viva La Vigan: Calle Crisologo

Next day, our official Day 1, we woke up around 6:30am and prepared and had breakfast. Isabel Suites has complimentary breakfast but with our case, we only got one because we took the standard single only. So I just bought my food from Jollibee. We checked out already because we were bound to go to Vigan. We may not make the 12:00pm check out time so we asked them if we can just leave our bags. They were nice naman to allow us. Mahirap magpicture picture sa Vigan nang may mga dalang bag.

Sumakay kami nang tricycle going to Partas Bus Terminal. P8.00 per person ang fare sa tricycle. Ang Partas Bus going to Vigan is P113.00 naman ang fare. Air-conditioned bus na siya. We preferred that bus dahil according sa mga reviews that I read, yung mga local bus are fine, mas mura, kaso humihinto hinto talaga sila kung saan saan to get passengers. They also said it will take 2 and a half hours for the travel time but it took us 2 hours only with Partas bus. Yey!

Passing different cities of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur was a good view of the province. Relaxing. You'll pass by cities of San Nicolas, Batac, Currimao, Pinili, Badoc until you get to Ilocos Sur. When we got to Vigan, we went to the Church agad, took some pictures and offered a little prayer. We always make sure that wherever we go, we find time to visit churches to offer prayers.

Next stop was the famous Calle Crisologo. If you will be coming from the Vigan Cathedral, facing the Plaza Salcedo, look at your left side and you will see McDonalds, just take that road, until you reach the 2nd street, passing Guess Store at your right, David's Salon and the CAP building at your left. From there, turn left until you reach Calle Crisologo. It's the only brick road street that has been preserved, and famous as a tourist spot.

You'll see a lot stores selling Vigan's goods and stuff at Calle Crisologo. Sakto naman, closed ang street dahil nagshoo-shooting sila Dingdong Dantes at Regine Velasquez. Hay! Sakto naman. Siyempre no one stopped us. We entered the street acting like we're part of the production team. Palalagpasin pa ba namin, yun lang ang isa sa dinayo namin sa Vigan. Good thing the security people did not stop us. Galing namin. Hehe!

So picture picture na...

We entered one store para bumili nang magnet souvenir. While I was checking some stuff, hubbee suddenly froze because I didn't know that Dingdong Dantes just entered the store. Alam niyo na, na star struck na naman ang hubbee ko. Hehe. Saglit lang siya. Di na siya nakapag-papicture. Napagalitan pa ako at di ko daw nakunan nang picture. Nge!

So we took more shots of the famous street. May mga kalesa ride, as you may have heard it, but we didn't try it. It will cost P150.00 per hour, according to one the kalesa driver we spoke to. Because we're making the best of our time, it's not the best idea for us. Here are some of the products and views you can see in the famous Calle Crisologo...

And for the last hurrah before we left the famous street, more pictures of the viajeros. As in more talaga. Magsawa kayo. Haha!

Next stop... Baluarte Zoo!!!
